Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Pricing

The product is priced in one of two ways:
  • "Express" Basis for small & medium companies
  • "Standard" Basis for large organizations.

Small & Medium Organizations with up to 1,000 employees -
This option is the best way to purchase Lotus Notes Domino software so that the Lotus Domino server-side software is free and instant messaging is included free with each user's e-mail client software. Lotus Domino Messaging & Collaboration client software is available in a special "Express" structure that has the full features of the standard enterprise version, but at a lower cost for small & medium organizations.

This is favorably priced on a "per-user" basis and has no per-server charges for the Lotus Domino Server-side software and no charge for the instant messaging/chat built-in to the e-mail software. That is another highly favorable factor which price-differentiates this product from its competition, most of whom charge extra for the server software and instant messaging, in addition to the per-user pricing.

  1. Lotus Domino Messaging Express is complete messaging and group scheduling software, and includes instant messaging and interactive, online conversations, team workspace collaboration features such as discussions, reference databases, workflow features, plus integrated presence awareness.

    2. Price:  $105 per user for the first year.

    If you wish to renew after the first year and obtain the benefits of software maintenance updates, new feature releases, and future software version releases, the renewal price is $29 per user.

  2. Lotus Domino Collaboration Express is for those organizations that want the added custom application power of Domino (beyond the above extensive default feature set). This product option would allow your employees to leverage a large portfolio of industry-specific and cross-industry applications in the marketplace. High-value applications based on Lotus Domino address business focus areas such as business controls and reporting, customer relationship management, sales force automation and call centers.
    3. Price:  $145 per user for the first year.

    If you wish to renew after the first year and obtain the benefits of software maintenance updates, new feature releases, and future software version releases, the renewal price is $39 per user.

  3. Lotus Domino Utility Server Express is for those organizations that require an application-only solution (no individual user mailbox/calendar files), to help you extend collaboration to your customers, suppliers and partners by facilitating online communities and implementing Web-based customer self-service applications. As such, it is priced per server CPU for smaller enterprises that want unlimited access via a web browser or separately-licensed Notes client.
         Applications can support an unlimited population of authenticated users, and customers can take advantage of hundreds of existing third party Domino applications such as sales force automation, customer relationship management, call center tracking, or a custom application developed in-house or by one of the thousands of IBM business partners worldwide.
    4. Price:  $2,757 per CPU

    If you wish to renew after the first year and obtain the benefits of software maintenance updates, new feature releases, and future software version releases, the renewal price is $725 per CPU.

    Note that the annual renewal price is very reasonable, and provides customers continued access to future software releases, feature releases, and maintenance updates to the software program.

Large Organizations with over 1,000 employees -
You can secure highly advantageous pricing for your enterprise organization based on your needs & requirements. Factors that can enter into such favorable pricing include whether you are new to Lotus software and could be classed into a competitive upgrade from a different messaging product, or renewing the product. Perhaps you may wish to reinstate from a previous installation.
